A second pair of eyes that can see in the dark - make this project with your littleBits Extended Kit!
How To Make It
First, let's build the circuit: snap usb power Bit to light trigger Bit
Connect light trigger Bit to branch
Connect 2 long leds to either side of branch
Flip switch on the light trigger Bit to "dark". This means that your leds will be triggered by darkness.
Insert your long leds inside small styrofoam balls. The styrofoam diffuses the light so that your "eyes" will glow when it's dark.
We used black pipe cleaners to tie everything together. Twist the pipe cleaners around the long led wires to cover them.
Place your branch at the center the top arch of your headband. Cut a pipe cleaner in half and use them to secure the branch to the headband.
Plug the micro usb cable into the usb power Bit. Then plug the cable into your computer or any other usb compatible device.
If you need more length between your project and your computer, use the two wires included in the Extended Kit like extension wires.
Now put your Night Eyes headband on... and go explore the darkness!
